Their Values: To share their food reflects their basic humanity, their oldest traditions and spiritual imperatives. They exist as a communal bridge between those in need of food and those who are willing to share what they have. To preserve the public trust placed in us they must at all times be honest; good stewards of the resources placed in their care; and strive for excellence in all they do.

They acquire food from many sources: food industry donations; community food drives; food purchases; and government commodities programs. They distribute emergency food boxes to individuals and families in need of assistance. Their Food for Children program distributes food to nearly 2,200 families at 21 school and low-income housing distribution sites. They also provide food to agencies operating shelters, soup kitchens, group homes, childcare and rehab programs. Their Community Food Hotline makes 4,000 emergency food assistance referrals during the year to people in need of immediate help. Last year the 120 agencies and programs they collaborate with served an average of 42,000 people every month, 51 % of which were children. Their Volunteer Services Program utilized nearly 2500 Volunteers in FY 02. Food pounds distributed for FY 01/02 were as follows: Agency Distribution Center 2,835,850, Food for Children Program 442,930, USDA 1,038,752, and their warehouse (Errington) pantry 399,453.
